Oil sits near $85 a barrel. The U.S. just reinstated a naval blockade on Iranian ports near the Strait of Hormuz and struck Iranian targets for a third straight night. Brent posted its biggest one-day jump in six years last week, and the volatility index begins to coil in wait for an even larger move than March 2026. The S&P 500 has already given back ground on the headlines and we’ve seen an even bigger sweep in our favorite small cap plays since our record start to the year up nearly 80% on the HGR index stock picks. That level of volatility isn’t for everyone which is why I created this list. Below are 7 stocks built for this kind of market, spanning staples, healthcare, utilities, energy, materials, and financials. None of them depend on the Strait of Hormuz calming down by next week to earn their keep.

$COST: Costco Wholesale

People cancel vacations before they cancel their Costco membership. That’s the whole thesis. Comparable sales rose 7.4% last quarter, membership fee income climbed 13.6%, and renewal rates sit near 90% across 82 million paid members. Digital comp sales jumped 22.6%, adding an ecommerce growth lever beyond warehouse traffic. Costco shares are up double digits in 2026 while the broader market has chopped sideways, because a bulk grocery and household-goods retailer with a subscription model doesn’t care whether oil is $60 or $85. Shoppers trade down to store brands during a squeeze. They don’t stop buying toilet paper, and they don’t cancel the membership that gets it to them cheap making Costco one of my favorite solid staples if I want to keep cash flow steady.

$JNJ: Johnson & Johnson

Sixty-plus consecutive years of dividend increases put J&J in a small club, and the business behind that streak spans pharmaceuticals and medical devices. A hip replacement doesn’t wait for a ceasefire. A cancer treatment doesn’t get deferred because the Fed is on hold. That’s what makes healthcare demand different from a retailer or an airline. Biology and demographics drive it. Aging populations need more procedures and more prescriptions every year, war or no war, rate cut or no rate cut, and J&J’s device and drug pipeline sits directly in that path.

$NEE: NextEra Energy

Utilities are the classic sell-off hiding spot with the oil shortage being an X-factor and NextEra gives you all that, plus a growth story most utilities can’t match. Electricity is non-negotiable whether the market is up or down, and NextEra pays a reliable dividend for owning that non-negotiable demand. On top of it, data centers are lining up for power: FPL’s request backlog has grown past 20 gigawatts, and NextEra is in advanced talks on more than half of it. The company is also working to restart the Duane Arnold nuclear plant in Iowa to serve Google’s data centers, on top of a 33-gigawatt renewables and storage backlog. You get defense and offense in the same ticker.

Drone IPOs are quickly becoming one of the hottest IPO’s on the market. Swarmer (SWMR) priced its Nasdaq debut at $5 a share in March. Shares opened at $12.50 and closed day one at $31, a 520% gain that made it the single biggest mover on any US exchange that day. The stock kept climbing from there. By June 2 it touched an intraday high of $83.30, a run of more than 1,500% from the offering price in under three months. Shares have since pulled back to around $42, still a gain of roughly 740% for anyone who got the IPO allocation. Swarmer sells swarm-control software: one operator managing up to 690 drones at once. Investors bought the story because the demand behind the use case is becoming reality. Countries around the world are racing to automate their society, and Wall Street just watched a company built for that exact reason go public and rip higher than anyone thought possible.

The obvious question follows: who’s next? Anduril and Saronic sit at the top of every defense-tech watchlist for a reason, and Wing, Alphabet’s delivery-drone unit, has built the kind of operational scale that public investors reward. Below are those three, plus two more names, for my premium subscribers, that I think have a high likelyhood of IPOing soon. None of these companies trade publicly today and all five are raising capital, signing government and enterprise contracts, and building a revenue base that is, or eventually will, turn heads. I’ve created this list for you so the next Swarmer-style pop doesn’t catch you looking the other way with a serious case of FOMO.

Anduril Industries

Anduril builds the hardware and software for autonomous warfare, and its funding trajectory reveals the demand is only rising. The company closed a $5 billion Series H in May, led by Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, pushing its valuation to $61 billion. That figure doubled the $30.5 billion mark Anduril carried just a year earlier.

The product line spans every domain the Pentagon cares about. Ghost and Bolt are reconnaissance and attack drones. The Altius 600M and 700M are loitering munitions. Fury is Anduril’s entry in the Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, an autonomous jet built to fly alongside crewed fighters. Every system runs on Lattice OS, Anduril’s command-and-control software that stitches sensors, drones, and other hardware into a single real-time picture of the battlefield. Lattice is the part of the business that scales fastest, since it can sell into other manufacturers’ hardware and not just Anduril’s own.

June brought the company’s biggest program win yet. The Air Force picked Anduril’s FQ-44A Fury alongside General Atomics’ FQ-42A Dark Merlin to build the first production Collaborative Combat Aircraft, with a plan to field at least 150 of the jets by the end of the decade. That award landed four months ahead of the Air Force’s own schedule. Anduril is backing the contract with tangible manufacturing capacity: Arsenal-1, a $1 billion, 5-million-square-foot autonomous weapons plant in Ohio. The first building, about 1 million square feet, is finished, and Fury production started there in March. For investors watching the IPO calendar, Anduril checks every box a public market wants to see: a valuation that has doubled twice in two years, a product line that spans drones, jets, and software, and a Pentagon program of record that converts a story into a multi-year manufacturing contract.

Saronic

Saronic does for the ocean what Anduril does for the sky and the SkyForge for the ground: autonomous vessels built to remove sailors from the most dangerous and repetitive maritime missions. The Austin-based company closed a $1.75 billion Series D in March, led by Kleiner Perkins with participation from Advent International, Bessemer Venture Partners, Franklin Templeton, and Andreessen Horowitz. The round more than doubled Saronic’s valuation to $9.25 billion, up from $4 billion less than a year prior.

The product strategy is the interesting part. Saronic builds one autonomy stack and pours it into six hull sizes: the 6-foot Spyglass for tactical reconnaissance, the 14-foot Cutlass for extended patrol, the 24-foot Corsair for multi-mission ops with 1,000-plus nautical miles of range, the larger Mirage and Cipher, and the 180-foot Marauder logistics vessel capable of hauling 150 metric tons in shipping containers. A navigation or targeting update tested on the smallest boat pushes as software to the largest one. That shared codebase is their powerful and unique moat. The Navy has started treating Saronic like a program of record with its technology being actively used in the Middle East to save 2 pilots in a downed helicopter. NAVSEA signed a $392 million Other Transaction Authority agreement running through 2031, with an initial award near $197 million, marking the shift from research contracts to production orders. Saronic’s shipyard in Franklin, Louisiana is mid-expansion on a $300 million buildout, with a target of more than 20 ships a year by 2027.

Public markets have no pure-play autonomous-ship stock today. Saronic’s combination of a graduated product line, a Navy production contract, and a valuation still doubling year over year makes it the most direct maritime answer to Anduril’s air-and-land dominance. One of the top companies to watch for an IPO.

Wing Aviation

Wing sits inside Alphabet’s Other Bets segment, born out of the Google X moonshot lab in 2018. It is not raising outside capital the way Anduril, Saronic, Skydio, and Shield AI are, so any path to a standalone listing runs through Alphabet’s own decisions about its bet portfolio. That makes Wing the wildcard on this list. It also makes Wing the name with the most flight hours behind it by a wide margin. The operational numbers are hard to argue with. Wing has flown more than 750,000 packages across 500,000-plus commercial flights, reaching 2 million customers. Drones fly autonomously within about six miles of a Wing facility while a remote pilot monitors the flight for situational awareness. In 2026, Wing is moving from pilot programs to a full commercial buildout across the San Francisco Bay Area, its most ambitious US urban rollout to date. Its partnership with Walmart is expanding by 150 stores this year across Los Angeles, Miami, and Nashville.

Alphabet has spun assets out of Other Bets before when a unit hit commercial scale and needed its own capital structure, and delivery drones are edging toward the kind of retail-scale adoption that tends to mark an emerging idea made manifest. Alphabet hasn’t announced any such move for Wing. Investors interested in Wing today are underwriting Alphabet’s overall Other Bets strategy, not a near-term IPO, but thats why I've included some that may be fast tracked below.

Reading the List

Nine of ten names carry a Strong Buy consensus, and every one has documented retail enthusiasm running alongside it. At Hidden Gems Research we find high quality, under the radar names where analyst consensus matches our conviction but if you zoom out to the average populous I find that retail momentum and analyst upside rarely move together since analysts price fundamentals while retail chases catalysts and short squeezes. Three things worth sitting with before acting on any of this. First, small analyst counts. Half of these names carry fewer than eight analysts, meaning the “average target” reflects a handful of opinions rather than broad Wall Street consensus. Second, data lag. Price target aggregators update on different schedules, and a stock that ran 40% this week can make a target that was accurate on Monday look stale by Friday. Third, retail sentiment reverses fast. Several of these names swung from “extremely bullish” to “bearish” and back within the same month over the past year, based on nothing more than a single earnings print or headline. With all of that in mind, lets take a look at the first name, Resolve AI.

Rezolve AI (RZLV)

builds generative AI commerce tools for retailers, and the stock has spent most of 2026 getting punished for it, down 37% year-to-date before this week’s move. Six analysts carry a Strong Buy rating with an average target of $10.00, more than triple the $2.79 share price. Retail hasn’t waited for the turnaround to show up in earnings. Stocktwits sentiment sits at “extremely bullish” after a 231% jump in message volume, driven by a shareholder-approved $300 million buyback and disclosure that an entity linked to CEO Daniel Wagner accumulated about 9 million shares since the start of 2026. Users on the platform have called the setup a “structural turning point.” Coverage here is thin with six analysts ratings but the consensus is clear: Wall Street is expecting a reversal story.

The 2026 AI trade ran through memory. Nvidia’s GPUs sat on order books measured in years, and the real constraint was no longer the chip - It was high bandwidth memory. SanDisk and Micron turned into some of the hottest AI names overnight. Without their memory stacks, none of the Nvidia compute reached the desired effect of the end user goal. That bottleneck will slowly start to clear and a new one is rapidly tightening underneath it, through the electric grid.

Goldman Sachs Research puts US data center power demand at 31 gigawatts in 2025, climbing to 41 gigawatts this year, and doubling again to 66 gigawatts by 2027. S&P Global expects capacity to cross 100 gigawatts by 2028. Gartner projects global data center electricity consumption growing from 448 terawatt-hours in 2025 to 980 terawatt-hours by 2030, with AI-optimized servers alone jumping from 93 to 432 terawatt-hours over that stretch. A single next-generation AI campus can draw 1 to 5 gigawatts. To put it in simpler terms: that’s the output of an entire power plant for a single customer. Solar and wind can’t cover that load alone. Nuclear plants run above a 92.5% capacity factor, producing close to their maximum output almost around the clock. Solar averages 23 to 25%. Wind averages 34 to 35%, per EIA data. One gigawatt of solar capacity delivers about 250 megawatts of usable output. One gigawatt of nuclear delivers 925 megawatts, day and night, regardless of weather. For a data center serving live inference requests across time zones, that reliability gap is the key focus and metric for success.

Big Tech has already voted with its balance sheet. As of May 2026, 13 announced projects have committed more than 9.8 gigawatts of nuclear capacity to AI infrastructure. Microsoft is paying $16 billion over 20 years to restart Three Mile Island, now rebranded the Crane Clean Energy Center, and will take 100% of its output starting in 2027. Meta pledged up to 6.6 gigawatts combined across deals with Vistra, Oklo, and TerraPower, the largest hyperscaler nuclear commitment on record, on top of a separate agreement with Constellation for its Illinois data centers. Amazon expanded its Talen Energy agreement in June to secure 1,920 megawatts from the Susquehanna plant through 2042, on top of an X-energy small modular reactor partnership targeting up to 5 gigawatts. Google signed with Kairos Power for 500 megawatts.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang described the next generation of data centers as “gigawatt factories” on the Joe Rogan podcast in December, and predicted small nuclear reactors would power data centers within six to seven years. The IAEA held its first symposium on AI and nuclear energy this year, with Director General Rafael Grossi framing the pairing as a structural alliance he’s calling Atoms for Algorithms. Washington is leaning the same direction. The Department of Energy already put $400 million each behind the Tennessee Valley Authority and Holtec to accelerate small modular reactor deployment, and in June issued a conditional commitment for $17.5 billion in loans to build ten new Westinghouse AP1000 reactors. Four executive orders signed in 2025 target growth from about 100 gigawatts of US nuclear capacity today to 400 gigawatts by 2050. A nuclear-heavy National Defense Authorization Act added momentum on top of that.

None of this resolves into a single trade. Nuclear splits into three layers with different risk profiles. Operators run plants today and sign the multi-decade power purchase agreements hyperscalers are lining up for, generating real cash flow right now. The fuel chain supplies the uranium those plants burn, in a market where 2025 global production of about 173 million pounds ran well short of primary demand near 204 million pounds, a structural deficit that firms up as more reactors restart and extend their licenses. The future-builders are the small modular reactor developers building the next generation of plants, betting on faster deployment closer to the data centers themselves. Most of these companies are pre-revenue, funded on backlog and promise rather than output. That third layer carries the sector’s real risk. Nuclear construction has run late and over budget for as long as the industry has existed, and even with regulatory tailwinds, Wood Mackenzie still expects US nuclear generation to stay close to flat until 2035 before accelerating. Most of the hyperscaler SMR commitments deliver power in the 2030 to 2035 window, a long runway for companies still burning cash today. Uranium prices carry their own volatility. Spot uranium touched $106.75 a pound in early 2024, fell into the low $70s through most of 2025, and has recovered to $84 to $86 as of June, with Citi projecting a move toward $100 to $125 by year end. A 30% swing in the spot price can move uranium miner equities by far more.

I’m now going to run you through six of my favorite ticker names across all three layers of this stack: two operators already cashing hyperscaler checks, one components manufacturer and one fuel supplier feeding the buildout, one pure-play uranium producer, and one small modular reactor developer carrying the sector’s highest risk and highest ceiling. These are all share plays for me due to the long horizon but I believe they will all have their day. On June 12, 2026, SpaceX rang the bell at the Nasdaq. $135 a share. $75 billion raised. The largest IPO in history. The race has begun.

For two decades, the space economy was something you read about in think-tank reports and Elon Musk tweets. Capital stayed on the sidelines. Institutional investors treated space companies like lottery tickets. The public markets had no real price discovery mechanism for any of it, because the company that runs this industry was private. Not anymore.

SpaceX going public changes the entire calculus. Every fund manager who dismissed this sector because they had no benchmark now has one. Every institutional investor who wanted exposure but had no viable vehicle now has one. That capital will not stay in $SPCX alone. It will move through the ecosystem, the suppliers, the launch customers, the infrastructure builders, and the companies doing the work SpaceX cannot or will not do itself.

The space economy is projected to grow from roughly $600 billion today to over $1.8 trillion by 2035. That growth will not land in one ticker. It lands in a supply chain: launch providers, satellite builders, ground infrastructure, optics and sensor manufacturers, lunar services, and direct-to-device connectivity networks. The picks below cover that entire stack.

We have been building this basket for months. The SpaceX IPO pulled forward a lot of retail attention, then the post-IPO sell-off handed back the entry points. The proxy trade is over, the real one starts now.

Lead Pick — $ASTS | AST SpaceMobile

$ASTS is trading around $78 after peaking above $133 in late May. The 35% drawdown from the high came from two things: insider selling by the CTO and CFO (which is noise, not thesis change), and the post-SpaceX-IPO rotation that washed out the proxy trade crowd. The underlying business did not change. The satellites keep going up. On June 17, BlueBird 8, 9, and 10 lifted off from Cape Canaveral on a Falcon 9 and reached orbit. That puts AST SpaceMobile on track for its target of 45 satellites in orbit by November 2026. BlueBird 11 through 33 are in advanced assembly now. The FCC granted commercial SpaceMobile service authorization in the United States, which means the company can begin selling the product it has been building for years.

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network that works with standard smartphones, no special hardware, no dongle. Existing carriers, nearly 60 mobile operator agreements globally, pay AST to beam coverage into their dead zones. The carriers own the customer relationship. AST owns the space layer.

Revenue guidance is $150–$200 million for 2026, against $1.2 billion in contracted commitments already on the books. The $3.5 billion balance sheet covers CapEx and negative free cash flow through 2028. That is a long runway. Roth Capital puts a two-year lead on AST’s architecture over Starlink Mobile. That gap matters because the satellite buildout takes years, and AST is already launching.

Material Risks

SpaceX is the competitor and the launch provider. That is a real structural tension. The $155–$160 million write-off on BlueBird 7 shows execution risk is real. Losses are widening as the constellation scales. The stock is volatile enough to shake most investors out before the thesis plays out.

My Entry Zone: $70

I want to own $ASTS at $70. That puts me 47% below the May high, with 45+ satellites targeting orbit by November. If it gets there, I am a buyer.

Aggressive out-of-the-money cash secured puts on high-conviction names sitting at deep, multi-month support.

The setup works like this. You identify a stock you’d own at a lower price, one with real catalysts and a chart that’s found its floor multiple times. You sell a cash secured put 10–30% below the current price with 1–2 months until expiration. Implied volatility is elevated, which means premiums are fat. You collect that premium upfront.

From there, two outcomes. The stock rebounds toward your strike before expiration and you buy back the put at a profit. Or the stock gets assigned and you own shares at a cost basis below today’s price, with a premium cushion already in your pocket. In that scenario, you didn’t fail. You bought a stock you wanted at a discount and immediately start selling covered calls. The machine keeps running.

The defense drone sector ran hard in 2025. Then it corrected. Then it ran again. Stocks like got dragged along for both rides. Now we’re sitting at an interesting moment. Congress has $50 billion earmarked for one-way attack drones and Counter-UAS systems in the current budget proposal. The DoD is actively ramping procurement. And many names in this space are trading at prices that don’t reflect their fundamentals.

A Multi-Billion Dollar Business Trading Like It's Broken

$AVAV printed $408 million in Q3 FY2026 revenue. That’s a 143% increase year-over-year, with 38% organic growth on top of the BlueHalo contribution. The funded backlog hit $1.1 billion. Year-to-date total awards crossed $4.6 billion. Cash and investments sat at $649 million at quarter end.

The stock got sold off anyway.

Management lowered full-year guidance after a $151 million goodwill impairment tied to the BADGER SCAR program, which the government terminated for convenience in March. The stock slid roughly 47% off its 52-week high of $417.86. Institutional sellers treated a one-time non-cash charge like a broken business model. That’s the gap we’re looking at.

The SCAR write-down was painful optics. The underlying business is growing at a pace most defense primes would trade for. For the full fiscal year, management is guiding $1.85 to $1.95 billion in revenue with $265 to $285 million in adjusted EBITDA. Non-GAAP EPS guidance lands at $2.75 to $3.10 per diluted share.

The counter-drone opportunity is the forward catalyst. AeroVironment COO Rob Smith, who came over from Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, flagged the Renaissance study at the Wells Fargo conference last week: the Counter-UAS market could reach $17 billion by 2030, and those estimates predate the Iran conflict escalation. The company’s Titan (RF detect-and-defeat), LOCUST (directed-energy laser at under $10 per engagement), and Freedom Eagle-1 (kinetic intercept) give them a layered stack no single-product competitor can match. (One of our favorites on this newsletter covers other C-UAS stack capabilities).

Production capacity tells the story plainly. AeroVironment ramped capacity 300% over the past year. They plan to add another 500% in the next 12 months. The Utah facility alone, built primarily for Switchblade 600 production, holds capacity to support roughly $2 billion in revenue. A $186 million Switchblade 600 Block 2 / Switchblade 300 Block 20 contract came through in Q3. The SCAR termination created a buying window. The DoD confirmed AeroVironment can compete in the recompete. Management is funding continued BADGER development through internal R&D while waiting.

$AVAV now trades well below where the fundamentals put it. A business with $4.6 billion in year-to-date awards, a $1.1 billion funded backlog, $649 million in cash, and a 500% planned production ramp trades at roughly a $10 billion market cap. We are looking at a defense prime that is severely undervalued.

I see this this is a swing trade with a longer tail if the Counter-UAS budget flows through as projected. The entry zone looks attractive below $230. The Q4 earnings report is the next catalyst. Management guided for record Q4 revenue, and the stock has room to recover meaningfully if they deliver.

THE MACRO PICTURE

Institutions opened this week leaning hard into risk. Read until the end to get my thesis on what the next move is for the conclusion of this short, volatile week!

The SPX is printing 7,563 (+1.78%), market regime is flagged RISK-ON LEAN, and net options flow sits at +$655M call-dominated with a call/put ratio of 2.87. That C/P is firmly in bullish skew territory. It is not the extreme institutional conviction we saw two weeks ago at 3.95, but it is coordinated enough to distinguish this from retail chasing headlines.

Technology (XLK) leads all sectors at +3.67%, firing on “All Cylinders” with a Tech Bull signal. Industrials and Financials both carry the same All Cylinders tag. Consumer Discretionary is the third green sector. Energy is the biggest laggard at -3.18%. Utilities are bleeding despite a positive Wall signal. Growth over defense, cyclicals over yield proxies.

Memory is the trade. June 24 is the date. Everything between now and then is pre-earnings positioning.

Here is where the premium is actually flowing.

These are fully discretionary accounts, the White House says third-party managers run them, replicating index-style programs, and the filing only captures the personal account, not the dozens of LLCs in the structure. These names showed up in the President’s brokerage activity during a software pullback and now the run has begun, with some of the picks like ServiceNow running heavily.

The President’s account has rotated into a basket of enterprise software leaders right as the group got repriced on AI-disruption fear - creating a generational wealth opportunity for the careful eye. Retail sees a falling knife. The disclosure shows accumulation into weakness. So let’s read the room.
