THE MACRO PICTURE

Institutions opened this week leaning hard into risk. Read until the end to get my thesis on what the next move is for the conclusion of this short, volatile week!

The SPX is printing 7,563 (+1.78%), market regime is flagged RISK-ON LEAN, and net options flow sits at +$655M call-dominated with a call/put ratio of 2.87. That C/P is firmly in bullish skew territory. It is not the extreme institutional conviction we saw two weeks ago at 3.95, but it is coordinated enough to distinguish this from retail chasing headlines.

Technology (XLK) leads all sectors at +3.67%, firing on “All Cylinders” with a Tech Bull signal. Industrials and Financials both carry the same All Cylinders tag. Consumer Discretionary is the third green sector. Energy is the biggest laggard at -3.18%. Utilities are bleeding despite a positive Wall signal. Growth over defense, cyclicals over yield proxies.

Memory is the trade. June 24 is the date. Everything between now and then is pre-earnings positioning.

Here is where the premium is actually flowing.

🔓 FREE SECTION — TOP 3 BULLISH FLOWS

Quick definitions for new readers: SWEEP = one large order ripped across multiple exchanges at once (urgency signal). SPLIT = multiple traders across different strikes leaning the same direction (consensus). UNUSUAL = size or timing anomaly vs. the historical baseline. NORMAL = in line with recent activity.

#1 — $MU | Bullish Flow $636.5M | 63% Bull | NORMAL

Micron reports fiscal Q3 earnings on June 24, and institutions are loading up.

TD Cowen raised its Micron price target to $1,500 from $660 this morning. Wolfe Research lifted their target to $1,250 and kept an Outperform rating. Management guided for record revenue of roughly $33.5 billion, a supercycle print thats nothing close to a moderate raise. Micron hit $1 trillion in market cap faster than any other company in history, going from $500B to $1T in 48 days. The $636.5M in bullish flow on a Normal classification is steady institutional accumulation across 70 flows and 54% calls. Measured positioning, not euphoria. That gap matters.

#2 — $TSLA | Bullish Flow $322.2M | 62% Bull | NORMAL

Tesla is the second-largest bullish premium on the tape today runs on the AI and autonomous driving thesis, not vehicle deliveries.

The robotaxi rollout timeline and FSD advancement remain the market’s focal points, while institutions use Tesla as a levered AI-consumer bet. At 107 flows with 59% calls, the Normal classification confirms broad-based accumulation across many participants. XLY (Consumer Discretionary) is running +1.75% with a Wall Up signal, giving Tesla a sector tailwind on top of the AI infrastructure narrative lifting the broader tape.

#3 — $INTC | Bullish Flow $48.1M | 60% Bull | NORMAL

Bank of America handed Intel a rare double upgrade on Friday, and options flow is confirming the move.

Jim Cramer called Intel the “number one name” and “more important than Nvidia” after the upgrade sent shares surging on heavy volume. Cadence Design Systems also announced an expanded multi-year collaboration with Intel Foundry on Design Technology Co-Optimization for Intel’s 14A node in early June, adding foundry credibility on top of the analyst call. The 60% bull skew across 57 flows is not a blowout conviction read. It is cautious accumulation from traders who believe Intel’s national security positioning and domestic fab buildout created a floor the market underpriced for years.
